I think my kid bricked my Ultra!! HELP!

Came home this evening to find my son playing a new game... It was my Ultra. I don't Know what he did but it will no longer boot up. It just goes to " SERVICE MENU". > Utilities. I cannot get into my scanner! Am I screwed? Not sure what to do next. Snappy doesn't come back to the shop for a week. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the micro SD card was pulled out and he put a coin in the slot

I would still check that out a bit further. What happens if you take it out and boot the machine without the Micro-SD in there-?? Same thing-??
Put it back in and make sure you can "feel" it click into position (it's very light touch). Same thing or a different response??

Get the kid an old Etch-A-Sketch....(levity)...

If I boot it up with the card out, it shows a screen wanting me to put the card in. And says continue / retry. When I put the card in, I can feel and hear it click. Hit continue. Goes to same "service menu" screen.

Ok, I finally got it to boot up. But it shows all manufacturers are Not Enabled. It seems like it's missing part of the software, but what part?

From what I understand that is on the micro-SD card.

Do you have SSC (Shop Stream Connect ) on your computer??

You could try hooking up your scanner to your PC and see if anything wants to update??

Try reinserting the Micro-SD card one or two times. Maybe carefully wiping the contacts on the card.

Other than that, you might have to call Tech support, or wait til your tool dealer shows up again. If he's nearby at all, he may be able to restore the card to where it should be.

I don't have SSC. But was thinking about that.
