    More bugs!

13.4 software, no communication to bcm onna 1996 Chrysler town&country lxi with a 3.8.

The shops genisys worked just fine though.

Lemme guess, "It'll be fixed in the next update" ?

    Monzanick,

The fix for this problem is in the Service Release for 13.4.

        Service release?

All right, I'll bite, What is the "service release" ? How do I get it? How much will I have to pay to get this function working?

            Service release?

"the application failed to initialize properly(0xc00000135) click on o/k to terminate application."

            Schweet.

What the hell it with the "instructions?" why is the capitalization all weird? This whole page Seems pretty hokey. Is it that way on purpose?

              Hey Monza,

When I had a Solus Pro, it was really simple. The Ultra might be different. If you have a user manual available, see if there is a "Connect to PC . . ." mode. Use that to connect your Ultra to your computer. Now open Shopstream Connect, go to "Tools", and click on "Update Software". If I remember correctly, there may be two options. One for updating SSC, and one for updating your scantool with a service release. Once again, take this with a grain of salt because I'm going from memory, and the Ultra may be different, but it wouldn't hurt to look. In fact, I bet the instructions you're looking for are buried somewhere in your user manual.

                Thanks!

I didn't get a users manual, "all you need to know is on the internet"

I'll try to perform this service release. its funny, I've had the thing for 2 years an this is the first i've heard of it.

Re all the Bugs you seem to have

I love reading your posts Monzanick, Can your Snap On tool Rep lend you a loaner unit while you send in your present unit in for diagnostic evaluation and possibly a Level One Repair.
Seems I read a topic about someone sending one in with bitches and glitches and spent only about $300 for a Level one repair and repair techs even installed updated software and replaced his scratched up front bezel?
Btw , what is the thumbnail picture next to your moniker, Monzanick, a Ditch Digger, or some kinda Chopper -half track Hydrid ? Sorry to get off the track

                    Got it!

Well for me to get the service release I had to use the computer @ work..
It was literally bam/done in about 3 min. Worked no problem after that. I am currently waitin' for the bcm to be rebuilt(wipers inop) to check for communication on that 96 chrysler town/country to check for communication.

As far as me pic, its a 1950 john deer mc crawler. its about the size of a bobcat skid steer. Fun to get away from the computer controls sometimes.

                        It actually worked!

Wow! it was like it was designed to work an stuff. plugged in to that old 96 caravan and I could talk to the bcm. Unfortunately the bcm rebuilder didn't fix the wiper issue with the bcm.
