Need Help Pre 2006 Modis

My dad let a buddy use our snap on modis for his truck, he kept it for a good couple of weeks, everything was fine prior to this, besides it being slow asf. anyways we got it back and his buddy said he updated it and now the Home Screen looks completely different than it did, my dad says it looks the same but I don’t like so
Now it says Heavy Duty Vehicles and not Asian or domestic like it did, I can’t seem to get it to connect to any of my cars when before it gave me a key
also Power off button won’t work
help I’ve searched google extensively

You could add HD Standard Heavy Duty capabilities to the Modis, but it would only change the screen once you went into that software. It would still boot to the home screen like normal though.
A power button failure on that tool was not common, so I'm not sure what happened to it, but I don't know a way of fixing it.

It looks like you don't. You're standard coverage is missing off that menu.

It kinda looks like the.friend of your friend gave you back a tool he bought cheap that only had HD coverage truck enabled.

It really grinds my gears that people loan tools that they borrowed to somebody else as if they own them.
I'll come over and use my tools on your rig but you're not borrowing my tools and my tools go home with me even if I'm coming back tomorrow. If I need a buddies tools I'm buying adult refreshments and lunch or dinner and his tools go home with him.
