New Vantage Pro with a couple minor issues

Just bought a new Vantage Pro a couple weeks ago. Got a couple small issues with it that I'd like some help on.

The 1st one is when I want to add a note to something I have saved it only lists 1980, 1981 and other under the year as seen in the picture below.

The other problem I have is I bought a new CF card to save to and I have it set to save to CF2 I get a message that there is not enough space and to press yes to delete unneeded data or no to abort. As you can see in the picture below this card definitely has enough space on it. If I hit no it then will let me save it.

One last thing when I take the battery out to charge it I loose the date and time. Is this normal? I hope not.

if you set the date and time you should be able to get more years(1980 to 2010). try a 512mb card in the cf card slot.

OK, the date makes since. Should I have to set it every time I remove the battery?

If you have an extra battery and switch them out quickly, you won't lose the settings. If you have to charge the battery, then yes, you will have to reset time & date.
