vatage?

First off I know very little about the vantage platform so I come hear looking for help. In the last year I bought a fluke DMM and a PICO scope so funds are low. I have been looking at a older vantage with extras but version 3.0 how old is that and can it be updated and how much I have been thinking that I could hsve bought a new vantage first off but live and learn. So any help would be great

Also do you use your vantage or dmm for most testing. Lets say you want to test bat. voltage during cranking, voltage drop. ohm testing and the like.

3.0 is very old. The last was 8.0 but I like 7.0 and it is what is in mine. They can no longer be upgraded. There was a thread on here about some guy on e-bay selling fake upgrades. I use mine for all my DMM functions. I even fixed my dishwasher with it.
