Sure Track now wants Adobe Flash Player installed

This is something that has just recently started popping up on my Android...

The site wants Adobe Flash Player installed.....WHY-?????

    It didn't need it before.......

It also identifies the site as askatech.com which is the old site name.....isn't it SureTrack-??? LOL

You probably got an update to your browser. Android browsers are going away from using the Flashplayer in favor of HTML5. Of course that doesn't help with sites that still use Flash.

From what I've seen with SureTrack, you can close the message and keep going but it will keep popping up.

Supposedly the Dolphin browser still supports Flash.

I just installed the Dolphin browser on my Android phone and didn't get the flash warning until I hit the attachment button in a post. Then it told me how to install the Flash Player. I did that turned it on in the browser and now Flash crashes when I click the attachment button.

The android was showing this in the last 2 weeks or so then it did an "update" last Friday so it doesn't appear to be an update issue..?? IDK...

What "advantages" is the site referring to exactly-??

We don't have a suretrack.com address. That belongs to someone else.

I don't know everything that the site uses Flash for but I'll look into it.

Before doing any Windows or Flash updates, I like to clear all my Browsing History.

Yup, I agree. Keeping a browsing history makes it easier for a system to go back where you were, but it should be cleared out once in a while anyway.

Kinda like putting the wrenches back in the toolbox once in a while... LOL

I think I'll hold off for now
Thanks for looking into the need or benefits Nick.

My android devices are on 4.4 right now and there is no Flash support for 4.1 and later. I dont notice any performance or display issues on 4.4 that I dont see on W7pro. The pop up is infinitely annoying though

My phone, HTC One M8, is on Android 4.4 as well. With the Dolphin browser, I don't get the message in normal navigation of the site like I do on the other browsers.

Dolphin and its GoPack do support it in some sideways way. There's no authorized version and Adobe doesn't support android anymore. Chrome doesn't support it and Android Browser doesn't work with 4.4. I was upset initially. Don't care anymore.
