"EDIT" Function on Help "Question" Eliminated?

It looks like the Edit function was eliminated for "Questions"? I know, not long ago I could go back and add some info or fix a spelling error, etc.. as long as I was thee original author.

Or is it because the thread has been closed?

    Two problems there.

#1 What if I have some fact to add after the repair "Fix"?

#2 What if some one has some info to add that could be useful, but the "Question" is closed?

I actually have a case like this. I 'Fixed" a Mercedes but have a lot of follow up to present. Too bad, really.

There is a similar situation on iATN. I have petitioned iATN for a chance to Edit the "TechHelp" requests, but once they are closed, it's final.

There is at least a function on a closed TechHelp to add a comment, in case you have some info to add, which I did. Scott Brown of iATN indicated to me in thier "Development Forum" that they want to overhaul some aspects of iATN's TechHelp to be able to edit and add some screenshots also, at least that's what it indicated to me.

Given that, I would say that the competition will stay far ahead of what we have with SureTrack now.

    Make it flexible.

I hope that this is taken constructively!

    Thanks, Bob

Yes Bob, you can edit your posts in an open question, but once the question is closed, you cannot edit it.

I as an admin can edit it (except for the "what fixed the problem" section). So if there is something needed, I could add or correct it for you.

I cannot add another reply or un-close a question. I will talk this over with the team.
