For those of you who read the new posts on the Latest Questions list, how do you use it?

Do you only look at the first page (there are 20 posts per page)

If you look at more pages, how many? Or do you just go by the date?

Do the timestamps and usernames help you?

Any improvements you can recommend?

I scroll down through the questions until I see ones that I have seen before. Same with the latest answers.

I usually scroll threw the first few pages looking for diesel questions or for the posts that I have answered or viewed before. I hardly ever check the dates.

I look at what the complaint is, then what kind of vehicle it is, then how many replies are already there ( one has 64 replies already in there )
The user name and the time stamps are also helpful.

A user profile that may show equipment list might give some indication of capabilities.
Also in the user profile the location of the shop or person. Cold weather in Montana isn't the same as cold weather in Georgia. Rust belt issues in the north east are VERY different than corrosion problems in southern California-!! LOL
An indication of years of experience may change exactly how a response is worded.

I look for some thing I might actually know the answer to.

I will aim for the questions with 0 replies, questions which describe symptoms I've experienced, and or questions with low reply counts.

If a question has a 0 reply count it should be flagged some how so it does not get buried and lost under other questions. There are currently 7 pages of unanswered questions.

I like the geography idea mentioned by Crusty, there are certain parts of the world where EVAP monitors will never run. The experience level status is good too, you don't want to reply to some with a patronizing response.

Maybe some quick hyper links on the Latest Questions Filter would be useful instead of opening up a whole modal just to click on subscribed or unanswered.

I use email to view the latest questions.

I have my subscriptions set up to send me an email when a question is posted, I can read the question from my email. "If" the link is working Ill use the link attached to the question. Lately I have just left the page open and refreshing the page when I get an email alert.

An enhancement I would recommend is allowing the site to refresh from an idle state. Sometimes I just leave the website open on the latest questions page. The page should update without me having to hit the refresh button. This way if I am researching information I can see if a reply has been posted and not post a duplicate reply.

As far as email subscriptions, if I am already logged in to SureTrack and I select a latest questions link would it be possible to just link me to the question from my current browser window instead of opening a new browser tab.
