Hi all, another question, does any one know if the S'PRO can reset PEUGEOT dpf filter light and allow the cars to run correctly.

One of those calls where i said i dont know if the machine can do it, i know i look a fool to a big organisation,nusaince etc, but i aint gona look a pratt infront of a client after travelling out to them to see if i can resolve with my glorified code reader.

I am not familiar with the UK market software but since we do Not currently seem to have that capability on some of our diesel vehicles here in the US market I doubt you guys have it there. On some vehicals if you reset the computer it will also reset the light. But I am not qualifed to answer if it will work for you in your case...

Maybe some one from there will have a better answer.

i cant remember if pugs have been added to new upgrades.you defo can't do japs as a mate with a verus comes to use my launch for all dpf regeneration's. S,O don't tell you what you can and can't do as it would be embarrassing and the list for can't do would be far bigger than the can do's

Hi Dave, so going against the grain, what model launch do you use and you recon value for money for your situatiuon?.

As most of the stuff i do is outside work, i have to say unless i have seen it at some stage on the S'Pro.

Whats most annoying about the SO PRODUCT is you can not access the machines data base with out coupling to the car inquestion.

Ask all my questions here now, as i aint getting anywhere quick with SO UK.

Launch x431 had it for 5 years ----- 2 years free updates from new, £600 for 2 years updates after. down load updates of net some times up to 5 per week all local garages have used mine mainly S.O user's did a mazda 6 regen the other day no prob, reading your post's you defo need one, S.O is at least 5 years behind most other scanners, vantage pro still thinks 2009 focus c-max still has a coil pack and not finger coils.we won't get any where with S.O unless we stop buying out of date updates. but always remember no scanner will do every thing you need at least 2 plus a scope.

Hi my friend, from your figures here, the launch updates are cheaper and i like the approx ammount you say you get, appears to be a better package, have looked at LAUNCH and CARAM VG+

hi andy launch is defo a lot lot cheaper and the up dates are up to date 2010 models in some case's. you need to check out vcds from ross-tec 1 off payment does all vag vehicles plus eobd and all up dates are FREE FOR LIFE

Carman is getting behind on there coverage. The launch would be a better investment for euro coverage.

launch sell for between 2.5 - 3 grand for a genuine unit..and well worth it.
DONT get a copy or e-bay special if youre thnking about one..have a mate whos a dealer and launch HQ dont support them in any way either by updates or repairs.
had ours for about 8 years and its the first one i reach for,support when i need it and no hardware faults as of yet

I agree with markt the first out of the box is launch or vcds for vag, but as markt says DO NOT BUY COPY OR OF EBAY you can not update these,the only cars i get problems with is the odd peugeot but there french so it they don't count as they are as bad as a S.O scanner, the vantage pro isn't to bad but is still a very long way of the original vantage or pico

I wont be buying fleabay, this will be my own personel kit, not for my employers use, im in a catchment area where alot of people run cars from 1990 onwards and alot of them are mainly honda,mazda,suzuki,nissan, the area where SO coverage is very poor.

We can do the majority but not all, I'd need a bit more car info ( Age, model and engine code) to confirm or deny!

The Application guide will help you work out what can and can't be done!

11.2 app guide only shows special function in diesel engine models which doesnt narrow it down to a re-gen function and also diesel additive/multiplexed additive pump in the Diesel additive section..again not specific if it does a re-gen
as Andy is on 10.4 im not sure if these systems are covered or new to 11.2.

I'm sure solus 10.4 will do 307 1.6 16V turbodiesel and 308 with the same engine,possibly it should do every peugeot/citroen with engine code 9...9HZ,9HX etc.Correct me if I'm wrong
