i am thinking of buying a second hand mt2500 ,i am a mechanic (psv),i will only need it for my own cars and some drivers cars ,what are the capabilates of one ,will they give me basic codes on modern cars ,please help as i have only have a ruff idea what they will do ,its not worth me spending lots on a solus as it will not recoupe its money

The MT needs an adapter to talk to any vehicle that uses a CAN bus. They can not be upgraded any more and the newest car they can talk to is about a 2008. I could be a bit off on the year though. I wouldn't pay too much for one any more. Make sure you get as many OBD-I adapters and OBD-II keys as possible. -
if i buy a dedicated cartridge (vauxhall )would i need a personality key as well ,and what does a pvci cartridge do ,i am confused with the amount of different software ,can someone please help as i dont want to buy the wrong stuffComment
