    Arrrrggggg -A Ca Ca Ahh Hellar ala Breaker Bar

    Don't know how to curse in Arabic, but this Salt Belt Toyroda Corroda 06 Sienna was built in Indiana , probably with bolts sourced from GM. Simple timing belt and water pump job at 125K turned into a real PITA and a trip to the dealer for a $155 bracket and a $10 bolt on Tuesday. Had to wizzer through the X bracket and extract the end of the bolt from the lower bracket to save dropping another $50 for the lower bracket.

      Nah, GM bolts just pop off thier heads when they rust.

          Things that make you say WTF !!!
          I just spent 4 hrs to find my tech didn't lock the connector on an air connector. (97 suby impreza) This was after doing a heater core job. The connector has a switch built into it and if the lock isn't snap in place. The warning lamp lights up and it won't allow code retrieval... GRRR !!

              Air connector? Do You mean the passenger air bag connector with a shorting bar built in the connector? Next time you can't pull code , just ask yourself what airbag component that would cause the SRS light to come on is closest to the heater core that was just changed out?

                  It was connector B31 near the driver's kick panel. The shorting bar is a direct ground for the SRS lamp. Once found and corrected. It display the code for the passenger side bag that was also left unlocked.....

                      A 97 is pretty old , so the only way you are able pull the SRS codes on that Subaru is to count SRS lamp flash out? No way to pull the SRS codes with the scanner?
