Guess I should be able to find out if the brief ignition power feed interruption is before or after the fuse #5 by hold the tip of my power probe to the ignition fuse #5 and holding battery power to it KOEO while slowly turning key cranking it over and returning the key to the KOER position.Should start right up and keep running in theory if it's the ignition switch or alarm wiring side of the circuit that supplies the fuse interrupting the power versus the side that supplies the ECM and brake module.( I already disconnected the ABS module.

Verified that I was able to verify car starts right up each time and stay running when consistent B+ is applied with power probe to fuse #5 each start attempt.
I then dropped the steering column enough to be able to back probe the ignition switch connector and verify the cause is a bad ignition switch causing the power interruption to fuse 5(not the aftermarket alarm wiring.)
Tried to get more room to access removal of the ignition switch , and silly piggy backed shifter lock cable but I had to remove the 3 bolts at the bottom of column at firewall .Despite PB blaster 2 of the bolts snapped off in the weld nuts at bottom of the firewall. A-aAaaarg -a -Ca Ca! Die B@tch ! Die! Even with end in sight ,car seems to be endless saga of old rusty GM Bullsh@t.

          Gm tilt column sticker

Well I pulled carpet and insulation to see hole in floor ,extracted the broken bolts at firewall for base of column by heating weld nuts with torch and unscewed from opposite side. Scuff pad the soot off and primed. I hate drilling hardened broken bolts out anymore and re tapping when the torch works wonders if you can keep things from catching on fire . Now all I have to do is get the park lock cable into the new ignition switch recepticle and just hoping I don't need to remove the console.
