2014 chevy air bag module

2014 chevy silverado replaced the air bag module cause of a side hit that blew the upper bags and the right seat bag put all new bags and sensors and module my question is how to u set up the new module on chevy when I hook up the scanner it say that set up is incomplete and it shows everything else is good but the pass seat pressure sensor is bad I have a new one to put in but had to show it was bad for insurance to approve it if anyone give give me some advice on setting up the new module it be greatly appreciated I do have a eoths pro and a older modus

The SDM needs to be programmed, you will need a Pass thru device or an MDI. After programming you need to set up the SDM and Setup Primary Keys, both of those can be done with a Scan tool. Not sure if the ETHOS has those functions as I do not have one.
