New ABS Actuator as pricey as a rebuilt trans

Had a couple 2006 Toyotas in the past week , one a Sequoia and the other a Sienna. ABS codes traced to bad actuators. Everything , pump, ecu, and hcu together is an integrated $2k assembly. What's the chance a used one is going to be good ?

Sometimes you get them with an ABS pump failure code,You can communicate with the module , but can't command the pump on with the scan tool. You check power and grounds check good and you unplug the pump feed connector from the module part and with a power probe and jump power and ground to the pump motor connector and it works, so you know the problem has got to be internally in the module part.

Have you tried an electronics rebuilder. Good one near me in Taunton, Ma. I forget the name.
