2009 Pathfinder intermittent crank no start.

Any Nissan gurus that could help me?

No codes in ECM, U1000 codes in other CAN modules. When cranking lose communication with ECM, but other modules unaffected. I have all powers and grounds at ECM accounted for, when cranking voltage drops to 7v +/- at ignition feed wire.

Before condemning expensive and hard to find ECM I'd like to hear some opinions.

That voltage sounds like it's too low.
Is that the initial inrush voltage when the starter begins turning? Even so, it still seems low.
I'd be load testing the battery then hopefully have 10 or more volts during sustained cranking for 15 seconds.

I thought it seemed awful low too, I expected 8.5v or better.

Yes initial load from starter spiked from 12.5v to 7v caught with scope.

Thing wheels over no problem, looks like new battery. I'll swap it out anyway to see what gives.

I initially repaired the battery cables that last shop hacked together wired around the fuses on + cable.

Ive seen a lot of battery cables with aftermarket cable clamp ends get a bad connection and a voltage drop results because of it. Bet if you aimed a digital thermometer at it during cranking, you might see the temperature go up where the cable connection is.
