Best wishes for a safe Mammorial Day weekend

Let us remember all those that have Gone South before their time. ...and out of respect let us refrain from playing Red Solo Cup at Walk for the Cure.

My shop is located 1/2 mile from a small rural cemetery where a few veterans are laid to rest. The local church associated with the cemetery coordinates a great little ceremony which includes VFW role call, gun volley, taps, and fly over by local crop duster. I did not serve in our military, but had/have several relatives that did/do. I can tell you this, I am very thankful for everyone who has and/or is protecting our country.

A Good Civilian deserves same honors as a good soldier

Memorial day itself is a day to remember all the dead including Civilians not just Veterans. Not everyone joined the military voluntarily after we won the Big wars to end all wars. Now a days Multinational Corporate Industrialists choose the politicians for us to get to vote for ,what governments stand in the way of agenda, and the next Global Hot Spots we have to send our young men and women to go die again.
Some folk in Military join to get their college education paid, some do so because they got drafted, and refusing to do so would have resulted in prison time. Some do so because of an adventurous Viking Spirit ,a macho camaraderie , a love of Jets and Hi tech , shooting and blowing stuff up and just want to be a soldier of fortune then actually saving your fellow Road Rager. They like civilians, being in a bad place at the wrong time just could meet your maker prematurely.
