    ACT900 Refrigerant Leak Detector

Has anyone had good outcomes with the ACT900? I really want to use this tool, as we work on alot of big, aftermarket system but I cant seem to get this tool to give me an accurate reading. Little breeze comes thru the shop and thing goes haywire. Thanks

I don't have this particular model but I do have a Snap-on, Tif and Robinair detectors and have found that even if I breath on them, they go off. I haven't found one yet that I can say doesn't pick up false positives. I mostly use dye with a UV light and use the detectors in the ducts to try and see if I have an evaporator leak.
