2013 Escape Pats Access Issues 10 minute wait fail

Hello all,

I was trying to retrieve the keyless entry code with my Verus Edge, 25.4 current software. Vehicle is a 2013 escape, push button start. I went through the Body control module and selected retrieve code. It told me about the 10 minute wait. After multiple attempts it would always fail around the 30 second mark. I had it hooked up to a battery supply/maintainer. Didn't change anything. I even tried my Autel scan tool and it failed immediately. Are aftermarket tools just not setup for this or am i missing a step? I eventually read the physical label from the module under the dash but no matter i did the pats access never took. Looking for suggestions or is it just not compatible with this vehicle ?

I looked at the coverage guide and it shows just codes and data for the PATS system on your vehicle. However I am pretty sure you need a locksmith license for that year vehicle. I would have thought the Autel would have just bypassed that.

Rick, I pulled the keyless entry code from my daughter's 14 Fusion with my Verus Edge about a year ago. Just tried a 19 F150 and it said failed to execute. In my opinion the coverage guide is useless . Yea it lists special functions, but which ones work ?

As far as the coverage guide goes, I agree with you. It could be better. However being the Autel didn't work on his vehicle either I think there may be more to it then a test that doesn't work.

Sorry Rick, not yet. Shops been crazy busy and I haven't gotten in a similar vehicle that where I could try it out on. As soon I can try it out I will let you know. Again SORRY for the delay!

I appreciate you trying like i mentioned i got what i needed from reading the actual module, would just be nice to know if i run into it again for future knowledge where maybe i can crawl and conture under there to read the module.
