Have an EEC500A charger that will only stay on in Boost or Start modes. In boost mode the unit runs and the internal fan comes on. In 4A or 15A mode the charger clicks, sits for about 5 seconds. No fan. And the display says OFF.
It does this with standard and AGM batteries and regardless of the batteries current charge. Even on a battery with a 12.7v charge.
The unit did display an error "SUL" for a battery that was sulfated. Other than this none of the other functions seem to be working.
Wondering if anyone has had this issue and what part needs replacement.
