Ask-A-Tech vs. Identifix

Alright guys, just got my Modis 12.4 update, and they threw in AskATech for 30 days. Got signed up today, gonna play with it for a couple days, see how she works. Whose got Identifix AND AskATech out there and who prefers what? I know I'm on a SnapOn website right now, but I'm curious if A-A-T is worth the $40 a month charge, above and beyond work providing Identifix.

I don't think so, but I've got good news if you use Shopkey or Mitchell for your info system.

When you update your Snap-on scan tool currently you receive a 6 month subscription to Ask-a-Tech. I checked your account and you have a 6 month subscription, your expiration date is Sept 15 2013.

Jay, I am curious. When you purchase the software update, were do you get the subscription from and how do you activate it, or in my case re-activate it???

As you may remember on my initial scan tool purchase I never received the details for the free trial. For some reason when we did the 12.4 update on my tool it would not allow us to do the update under the 1 year Value plan special. It error'ed out both time's trying to push the update. We then put it as a standard update and it went through. My dealer was supposed to have called to get the issue fixed and make sure my account was set up properly for the value plan on the software. But he wasn't sure how to get the free trial for the Ask-A-Tech.

I am just curious if any one has ever looked at the software subscriptions sold during the trial period Vs. the accounts actually set up under the Free Trail??? I have a feeling the number is lower then it could be as well as new paying subscriptions.
