    Toyota "welded on" diff covers!!!

Does anyone know where I can buy the welded on rear diff
covers for Toyota trucks? Up here they are rotting and
leaking and I would love to be able to weld on a new cover
to my customers' otherwise good rear axles, but I can't seem
to find one. Does anyone know who makes these axles for
Toyota? The truck in question at the moment is a 2001 4
runner with 16" wheels and ESC. This seems to be a
noteworthy difference. Any help is more than I have now.
    Thanks again.

I have to agree, that is weird. I was thinking, "why not just buya new cover?" But I get it now, the Diff is a front loader and there is no cover. I have yet to see a steel housing rust through, but then again...

"One of", not the top of the list. And no, I don't get out much any more. And remember, I live in California. Rust is not a big deal here.

              This is some wierd stuff.
