Drove the old beater Plymouth Voyager around the block to verify no wheel bearing noise or ABS maladies, but could hear the LF grinding. Pads and rotors definately needed.
Jacked the front end up , uncapped the master. Before unbolting calipers and hanging on strut springs with a S hook,I inspect the brake hoses , and like to I loosen things up first with a Clamp and to see if sliders are froze , and the Infamous Phenolic caliper pistons cooperate without bind. Well the left front one goes in with a little more effort than I like to see , but the right front piston doesn't seem to really want to go in at all , so I start thinking , now I got to sell this Beer Budget Guy a set of calipers, but I say wait a minute , not so fast.
I look at the brake hoses that appear fine , but pass through a small guide brackets.
Luckily the bleeder bolt on the RF opens, and I can very easily press the caliper piston in.
No problem , the old minivan must just need new front brake hoses, but they are attached to those long tubenut brakelines that look pretty damned crusty and it's late Friday afternoon and I don't want to sell the Alchoholic a replumb job on both sides to the master.
So I just spread open the brake hose guide brackets clean out the rust scale build up and close em both up , and got the Alchy out of the shop at closing time with just a beer to spare
