Programming Vin into E38 ECU 2013 Camaro

I have the Modis scanner and a J2534 Autel pass thru device for re flashing purposes. A new ECU is needed for the 2013 Camaro as it was hit in the front and destroyed the old ECU. The Chevy dealer doesn't program the car's VIN # into the rebuilt ECU going into the car. I am guessing here I will need the SPS software from the A/C Delco Tech website to clear out the old VIN # in the rebuilt ECU and program in the car's VIN # into the new ECU. I have never used that part of the SPS dealer software and have just used the re-flashing portion of that software. Thanks for the great Forum and any answers from the members here.

You can't install a used ECM into a 2013 Camaro. You'll brick the car.

If you're using an ECM ordered from GM you'll need a J2534 device and subscription to the Tis2 Web/SPS website. When you go into the software to program a module you'll do it just like you would normally but instead of selecting "Reprogram Module" you'll select "Replace and Program Module" and follow the prompts like normal, you will be able/have to enter the VIN on the same screen that normally displays the VIN.
