Sun Pass Thru Pro & GM TIS flash program

I am trying to get the Gm TIS programing software to recognize my sun pass thru pro devise. I have searched the snap on website http://buy1.snapon.com/products/diag...artno=eeta113a but can't seem to find my answer. I know the pass thru will communicate w/ the car and the laptop. I can't get the GM software to find the J2534 pass thru devise. I would assume this is done in the I/O management section but just can't figure it out. Anyone got some advise?

No. actually I got the DVDs and USB hardware key. I know there are two versions of download and they say you can have both w/o conflick. I might only have the second version cause I expected the later version to include first version manufactures but maybe not? I will try it

You probably need to update your drivers for the pass thru pro www.snapon.com/J2534 I wasn't able to upload the step-by-step instructions but I will be happy to e-mail them if you need them.InitialSetupJ2534PassThruPro.ppt

Does the Pass-Thru-Pro show up on this screen like in this screen shot?

            SP32-20081014-181141.gif

If you got to the next screen did you click on Diagnotics and then test the connection?

And yes you did both sets of drivers and they will run without conflict of each other. If you want I can send you a Powerpoint presentation on Flashing GM PCM's. Let us know how it works out. If you want the PP then PM me with your email.

              Steve,

I was just returning to my thread to post a fix when I found your reply. My screens are somewhat different than your illustrations but that is where I was going wrong. I was trying to load the SunPassThruPro drivers instead of the GM's J2534 driver in the I/O dialog box. Once I figured that out, the TIS software was able to find the SunPro devise and I was able to communicate w/ a 96 Tahoe this afternoon. I sure appreciate the time you took to try to help.

              Thanks Again

              Chuck

I don't mean to be any trouble but I would like to see those powerpoints also. Not sure how to private message an email though.
