just signed up, am looking on gettin a ethos but i dont quite have the cash is there away i could sort of get a lease / buy on this tool ?


( do i need all different connections for different cars or are are they all a standard 16 pin type? pretty new to diagnos but am keen )


also i know its around £1700 but i will need keys and conections for

vauxhall
ford
land rover
VW / Audi
Alfa
Nissan
Renault

so how much would thouse keys and connections cost me ?

any help will be greatly appreciated. oh and what a cracking forum you have here. i am in the UK if this helps

Hi I am also in the UK. Don't spend £1700 on the ethos Snap On at this moment in time are doing a deal on the Solus Pro, it's £1800 + Government rip off tax @ 15%

If you are in the Trade, then ask your local Snap On dealer for a good deal When I bought mine I paid a grand down and agreed a weekly payment scheme without interest The Solus comes complete with full set of keys and leads etc

It is a good piece of kit, but as I have mentioned in my other threads on this forum, it does have its limits

If you are serious about diagnostics, you will need a scope as well, so depending on your budget you could buy the Pico scope and the Solus, or go for the MODIS, the Verus is better but around £6k I think.

Another good scope option is the VantagePro. Combined with a SolusPro, you have almost all of the capability of a Modis, and you have 2 separate tools. The biggest difference is the Modis has a 4 channel scope and the V Pro has 2. The software and information is the same.
