    Shopstream Connect And Modis issue

I am currently having an issue reviewing captured movies/snapshots/anything saved from my Modis.
Everytime that I try to open a saved file, I get an error that reads "Loading of file was unsuccessful. Please check installation."
I have tried saving the files as JPEG or BITMAP, both get the same error message.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thx.

    Shop Sream Connect

    Hi Cody,

I don't wish to step on your toes and speak out of place but can i just advise of a problem I had with shop stream which was confusing to me it may help you

Leave MODIS disconnected from your computer. Boot up shop stream connect then set your modis up to be ready to connect to your computer, then connect the data cable. Select modis from the lefthand side lower column and your files should then be shown in front of you Double clicking on one should open it

The problem I have found with shop stream which nobody seems to be able to help with is after opening a file SCM in shop stream viewer the facility to print is there but will not print what is shown on screen I feel there is obviously a problem with the software and have contacted snap on, but they have not replied with a solution

I must be a very good fault finder , just can't find the solution to the problem

    David

      Hey Dave,

Thanks for the response,I tried the method that you offered but still no dice.
I've tried everything imaginable from re-installing Sopstream Connect, contacting tech support, you name it Ive tried it.
For some reason all of the demo files that are savd will run properly, just anything that I myself has saved will not play.
I will attatch some images of the working demo screens, and then one that I have saved. Thx.

        Shop Stream Connect

        Hi Cody

Your having similar problems to me with Shop Stream Connect Viewer It's a software related problem and I think that Snap On are the only people to solve it, but they may wait until enough people complain about it I have already and am waiting for a reply from them.

The view you show below is shop stream, please go to file menu on top left and select print graphs/data and let me know if what you see on your desk top prints?

Mine only prints on graph small in top left corner?

          Hey Dave,

I seem to have no problems printing, as long as it's a screen that I'm actually able to view.
If you can be a little bit more clear on your issue, maybe I can duplicate it from my end, and find a solution for you.

            Shop Stream Connect

            Hi Cody,

This is my experience of using Shop Stream Connect?

Boot up Shop Stream Connect. Select/open file type SCM. SCM now open and at top of tool bar the software says; Shop Stream Connect Scanner Data Viewer.

x4 pictures of my ABS sensors are now on screen in colour. I select file print graphs, the software dialog box appears asking me to select items I wish to print, I check all four boxes and click Ok to print, then printer dialog box appears, print range all, click OK printer prints, the results look like?

            Wheel left Front (KM/H) -

            Small graph of ABS printed

            Wheel Right Front (KM/H) -
            No Graph printed

            Wheel Left Rear (KM/H) -
            No Graph printed

            Wheel Right Rear (KM/H) -
            No Graph printed

What is above is what is printed from shop stream connect print function?

            any help appreciated

            David

Sorry Dave, no useful information from my end, as I can print any of the demo screens fine.
I captured a 4 channel movie to see if I could duplicate the printing issue that you are having but unfortunately, I cannot open the file in order to print it, as the issue I'm having won't let me view what Ive recorded.......

                Shop Stream Connect

                Hi Cody

Thanks for trying much appreciated. I always know when the problems I find are difficult to solve, this is because I always contact the OEM people, and when they go and burry the heads in the sand, then I know its a major issue to resolve

But at least I am still

                David

Well it seems that I have manage to solve my issue....
I tried uninstalling and re-installing shoptream connect for the 3rd time, but this time I did not update the program to the latest download. Now I can view and print anything that I have saved.
So all I can recommend that if you are having problems with SSC, try this method and see if it helps.....

                    Hi Cody,

I have now a considerable number of files in shop stream connect from my scanner, how do I delete shop stream without loosing my files?

Secondly how did you post the pictures of the graphs etc on here from your scanner and shop stream?

I would like to share some info with you and hopefully you could advise what some info means on the graphs for me?

                    Thanks

                    David

Hey Dave, sorry it took so long to get back to but I was on holidays....

Since none of my files were saved in shopstream, I didn't consider losing any saved files when I uninstalled Shopstream, (all saved internally in MODIS).
If you don't want to lose ay saved files, I would recommend saving to an external source.(USB flash drive, or another hard drive).

For your second question: I saved the above images to my computer, then uploaded them into my message by attaching them to my post.

                      Hope this helps, Cody

                        Hi Cody,

Thanks for your advise, my friend is a computer lecturer, I am going to ask him to look at my problem then hopefully no files to be lost?

                        Thanks again.
