truck does not display data to the verus

I have a verus and I am trying to see the data but instead it diplays an error it will show me the codes but not the data. I check the 16 pin on the obd connector and it has battery volts however it does not have 5 volts I know one of the pins should have 5 volts but the rest of them have nothing any body have any Ideas your help is appreciated.

Have you checked scanning data by using a different scan tool? possibly a Verus issue, very common. also try scanning in generic OBD2 mode if you don't have an other tool or try to borrow one just to confirm. is your probelm just related to this vehicle or others? call tech support to get help. you may want to try to re-update the scanner firmware to see if it helps. if not call, good luck.

Thanks figure it out I had to reset the verus while trying to enter the vin # after that it worked thanks again
