If you look at the requirements it states it works with Xp not Vista. Some here have had some luck with tweaking settings it working to get but not many. Welcome to the forums!

Hi I am using Windows XP Pro and the installation was clean with no message alerts. There may be some issues with Vista. But There i am not sure.Ther must be other members using Vista and they could leave you a comment if they had any problems. Hope this Helps.

              Hi,

On the top of this forum header there is an advertising banner which changes adverts. The shop stream was on there and when I clicked and checked it VISTA was included in the list of software programmes snap on use.

My laptop runs Shop Stream using VISTA, the only problem I have recognised is shop stream viewer does not print the graphs correctly.

Snap On have recently emailed me and advised they know about the problem and they will soon be issuing an updated version of the software.

They advise to check for updates via shop stream connect.

Go into Tools - update software - connect.

              Hope this helps

              David

Hi I think I understand what's going wrong for you here, I think I had the same problem.

First boot up shop stream on your computer so its on the desktop, then connect the USB cable to the scanner and laptop, i.e. not before, then the solus should communicate with shop stream.

If you do it the other way you will be bombarded with files trying to communicate and crashing, which is why i do it as described above.

Tip. When shop stream open on desktop, select solus at bottom left hand side, or solus pro if a pro model. At top left you should see so yellow folders, one should be named solus and solus pro. Right click the folder and create a new folder, name it and enter your scanner data. This is what I do so I can easily find any previous vehicles data, i.e. peugoet, citroen, ford etc.

                  Hope this helps

                  David

                      Hi,

I don't remember loading any software into my laptop to recognise the solus when plugged into it?

I first downloaded shop stream then left it running on the desktop, connected the scanner and followed the scanner PC instructions to load "transfer" data to shop stream.

P.S. Are you putting the solus into the right programme to be recognised by shop stream?

                      David

are you using the small USB to large USB cable? Also when you installed the Shopstream it asks you to do a update. Don't do the update, this can be your problem, lots of people do the requested update then can't hook to it. Are you saving your info to a CF card or internal? This may play a role in this also.
