Modis 6.4 to 8.2 skipped Coverage?

I recently bought a Modis from my Snap On dealer, it had been on the truck for sometime unsold and currently has 6.4, my question is when it gets registered (which I am holding off untill 8.2 is released ) do I loose any coverage between 8.2 and 6.4?

I was always told that if you dont keep up with the updates that you loose coverage. is this a true or false statement?

I have heard the same thing. According to this http://diagnostics.snapon.com/displa...px?fileid=7828 third screen up from the bottom of the page it is FALSE. You get it all if you upgrade from 6.4 to 8.2

BTW, if you just bought it, it should come with the latest update for free. I would not buy a new unit with old software on it

actually the dealer recommended I wait for the newest release before It gets registered otherwise I would have to pay for 8.2 if he installed 7.4.

he also threw in a battery charger kit and I got it on truck credit rather then going through snap on credit, saves me intrest charges.
