    Solus Update

    Dear Forum Friends,

I work here in The Gambia and the garage owner has a brand new Solus (not pro) with the European CF card. According to the Snap-on website there is no possibility to update here in The Gambia unless I travel to Europe/USA.

My question now: Is there really no alternative?

    Thank you.

    Baiki,
You can buy almost anything you want off Ebay, including software updates. Buy from a reputable seller. That's the most simple alternative.

PS: How well does the Solus work on the vehicles sold in Africa? I assume the software must be different from vehicles sold in the US, and you also have makes/models not sold in the States. Just wondering.

Maybe someone fron Snap-on will verify, but you might be able to order the the updte from the website, and have it shipped to you.

      Something to look into.

          Hi There Baiki.

          And welcome to you.

I have the contact information for you to purchase software in Africa. You will see it in a PM (personal message) that I am sending you. This is a direct contact to a Snap-on Employee, so I will not put it in the public forum where the search engines may pick it up and plaster it all over the Internet.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious.

          Roy
