I just got a pass thru pro III and I installed Nissan NERs. I am replacing an dcm in an 01 infiniti i30, i bought the flash from nissan-techinfo.com but when i go to flash it i get an error. I opened the file from nissan and the flash file is a vcd file (i think) and according to step 26 of the Ners operating manual the program is looking for a DAT file. Anyone else have this issue? I e-mailed tech support but think that may be a dead end street.

I'm pretty sure with Nissan j2534 can only flash pcm and tcm. Need a factory scanner for any other modules -
As stated above. Only the Nissan Consult tools can program anything else besides the PCM or TCM. It's stated on their website before you buy the program. This is the reason why Nissan and Chrysler SUCK!. You have to buy the original Tools which cost between $3,000-$5,000 and then buy the software etc. Then...AND ONLY THEN, can you flash, code or program anything else besides the PCM/TCM. Sorry to hear you wasted all that money and can't program anything else.
