Had an 07 Impala, 2G1WT58K879166439, with complaint of TPMS service light and poor range operation of the key FOB. Also could not learn the tire pressure monitors. I replaced the remote control door lock reciever (RCDLR) and flashed it to the proper calibration. This fixed the poor range of the key FOB and I put the vehicle in learn mode for the TPMS sensors and went around with my TPMS 3 and the horn honked at each sensor and double honked at the last one, All good right ? Nope, still have code P0569 in the TPMS, system configuration error. Checked the tpms data with the scanner and all the correct ID numbers are there but no tire pressure (default to 148 psi) also the cluster information shows blanks for pressure readings. The TPMS warning light and message warning still on too. I went around to each tire again just to read the pressures with ignition on to see if exciting each sensor would cause the module to learn the pressure, nope. I believe the problem to be that the module needs tire configuration or type and pressure limits programmed into it just as you would with the systems tests (programming) you have available to you with the trucks where you can set tire load range and desired pressures. You can see this in the frame shots below. This would be a nice feature to have added to the next scanner software up dates as this programming function does not seem to be available for the GM cars with TPMS.

That's good to know. I glanced at this option a couple of times. Good to know this bit of info and I will also like for it to be added to a future update. The more options we get, the better for us, our customers and snap-on.
Regards, Chavez.

Boy am I a dirty rotten cheater, I pulled the 07 Impala back in tonight, entered 08 Silverado into the Verus and put the k21 key in the slot. Plugged it into the Impala and turned the key on, went straight to the TPMS functions menu, IT WORKED !!!! The programming procedure came up. I entered Pmetric tires with a target psi of 32 and entered. Relearned the sensors and the codes gone (P0569) and lights out !!! The data for tire pressure now shows on the Verus and the instrument cluster display.Last edited by greasybob; 11-03-2011, 05:04 PM.Comment
