    GM reflash

I was trying to reflash a 2007 Chevy Van Express 3500 today, tried like 4 times and it kept giving me, Error_ reflashed failed. I contacted Snapon and we did a few test to make sure PTP2 was working fine ,the guy told me that he thought it was GM SPS problem.
Did any body had problems with GM web site today?

Could the PSP identify the module you wanted to flash ? Did it I.D. the vehicle OK ? Are you replacing a module with a used one ?

        GM reflash

Well I just finished flashing GM . And you are right. The verus will no longer do it!! As of I beleive sept first GM and Chrysler CANNOT BE DONE WITHOUT WINDOWS SEVEN. I learned this from snapon tech support. There is only one or two guys there that know or should I say will admit to this . So throw that Verus in the back room and grab a 200 dollar laptop. I know how it feels . I bought one also and was led to beleive it would do the job!

I don't think it's a Windows 7 thing, I've been using my lap top with XP.

I just did a Theft relearn on a 2005 Envoy last week with my Dell laptop XP Pro using TIS to Web. So, I doubt XP is the issue. I was also using the MDI, with latest firmware. NO message came up about errors at all.

                    reflash

Just tried yesterday to reflash a Saturn L series, could not get device to recognize thru AC Delco web site, kept saying to restart device and retry. I tried Tech 2 and pass thru pro and neither would connect. I should also say I was using Snapon's new battery charger set to reflash position. After lunch, I tried again, just used a battery pack for power supply and disabled headlights. Guess what? It went right thru first time and reflashed successfully. I did put a lab scope on battery charger and does show a lot of ac ripple. I guess on some vehicles , SO's battery charger interferes. Just a thought. Charger is billed as not to interfere with reflashes, but it sure did on this vehicle.

                      Errors

                      Solution:
Before you begin, make sure that you PC have following requirements:
                      1) Turned off antivirus
                      2) Turned of Firewall
                      3) And last and most important! Check the latest version of Java on www.Java.com

I have Java 6 Update 21. After update to version 7 update 9 ECM was successfully programmed.
If you want to donate me, ask how!
