    09 Aveo Tpms Module

Ok so everything on this Aveo goes great until it comes time to install a new TPMS module. I get this error code when trying to program it. I believe that all the programming is for the correct tire size which maybe sets the pressure parameters in the module. With the old module I can go through the procedure without getting this error. The problem with the old module is a code for internal failure. I called the SPS support and he groaned when I told him I was working on an Aveo. Said not to worry about the programming, just go ahead and do the sensor learn. This is where the second problem came in. The 12.4 Verus does not have the ability to put this vehicle into learn mode. No support from the TPMS 3 either. Then I tried the TechToWin application on my lap top with the PTP II. No dice there either. It will communicate with all the other modules in the vehicle accept the TPMS, (this is the only module that calls for a K-12a key), the Verus will communicate but no functions. This is the first limitation I've found with the TechToWin tech 2 so far. Tomorrow I try a real Tech 2. I believe the programming error might be because the TPMS module is too new and it hasn't been added to the SPS library yet. All other modules programmed without issue. VIN no KL1TD56E89B343911, would be nice to have TPMS support added to the software for Aveo's

Tech2Win does not support ISO-9141 or UART protocols. The Aveo uses the ISO-9141 protocol for the RKE\RFA module. Therefore, Tech2Win will not communicate with that module.

    No-Start.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was able to get the sensors registered with a tech 2. It seems that no flash is necessary for the installation of a new TPMS module as everything is working fine.
