Had a new airbag module (RCM) to install in an 07 Ford ranger today. I used the as built method of programming since the body shop had already installed the new module. I double and triple checked all the digits I had entered and the programming went great and the airbag light cleared. Before I had programmed the new module I had codes B2477, module configuration failure and B2290, occupant classification system fault in the RCM. No codes in the OCS module. After programming both codes cleared and do not come back and the system seems to operate correctly. My question is concerning recalibrating the seat weight sensor. When I try this through the FMP I get a message "could not load file". Is the recalibration not required ? Everything checks out OK. the PAD light works and OCS responds to no weight, small weight and large weight. Anyone ever seen this before ?

When the new SRS module is install with out the programming it gives you those
Codes, but there is nothing wrong whit the OCS, the OCS Module don't recognize
The new SRS Module...... Now when it comes to replacing Honda SRS modules
Sometimes you will get codes for the OPDS and for that you will have to do the calibration... Which now you can do it with the SO scanner.
