    Modis Crankshaft Sensor Test

Does Anyone Know How To Run The Signature Test On A Crankshaft Position Sensor (ckp)

Does The Engine Need To Be Running?

Yes. The Info Menu will walk you through it. Yes, the engine needs to be running, or at least cranking, to see if it makes a signal or not.

Your Modis has a Component Test Meter, CTM, that should walk you through set up on tests like that. Check it out, most people don't even know its there.

Glad it worked out. I love the Info Database. Tons of info in there, and it makes it much easier to run a labscope.

Like Skip says...there are a lot of Modis users that don't even know that info is in there.

After you get the code, select Troubleshooter from menu, navigate to code tips then find your code, open the tip and any EBI we have as well as baseline code setting conditions should be there.
