Using ShopStream Connect with Windows 7

I just bought a new Dell computer with Windows 7.
Downloaded ShopStream Connect and it won't work.
Is ShopStream compatible with Windows 7, or did I mess up somewhere?

Not at this time. Some people have tweaked things a bit and gotten some compontents to work. But if you click on the link you will see that SSC is meant to run on XP.

      Thank you for the reply.
Yeah, I saw that and read the FAQ's but didn't see anything about it.
I was hoping there was a simple way around it.

        Shopstream Connect on WIN7

I had to upgrade my windows 7. You have to first make sure you pc meets the requirements to run virtual xp mode. It was pretty easy. I got it on our new laptop at work and on my new gaming rig at home.

I think my windows 7 upgrade was 90 bucks or so done online while hooked to internet. We also use the Ford IDS software in virtual mode although I notice the logging of data slow.

I upgraded to win 7 pro, to run virtual xp, for some other software I have, only to find out my chip will not do it, even afer running the test that said my laptop would.
anyhow with win 7 and win 7 pro, I use shop stream connect, not a lot, but I haven't run into problems.

using autoenginuity on my toshiba lt, they did mention that dell has poor usb connection speeds, and did not recomend dell.

usually with my modis, I save to a zip drive, and then plug it into my lap top, and run shopstream connect.

hi norman, just want to clarify for anyone reading this that autoenginuity doesn't recommend "older" dell laptops because of FAULTY usb ports. speed wasn't a factor. the older dells had bad power connections on the usb ports.
