i have a new customer and i need to be able to scan with these two types of vehicles. does the heavy truck software cover isuzu npr? does the domestic software cover sprinter and if not is it covered in heavy truck? thank you to any help. the tool man also suggested maybe nexiq but he thinks that is geared more towards heavier trucks. again thanks.

thank you for the reply. i did find that out and i am starting to lean towards the tech2. didn't know much about the tool ut recently started learning more. i always knew it was the gm tool but lately i have found to manufactures of it and the one that i think is the original has changed its name. so if i am right then bosch is making the tool now. the big decision now is how far into it i want to jump into. i don't think i need the super deluxe kit with everything all the way up to 2010 but i work on a lot of gm cars and light trucks also so my brain says i should jump in up to my eyeballs up to atleast 2007 problem is the money seems to have a hard time jumping out of the wallet. where would be the best place to buy from?
any input would be appreciated.the more i learn, the more i realize what i really don't know

will the modis have support for the isuzu npr/gmc w4 in the near future. What is soo different about those trucks that only the tech2 supports them?Comment

I doubt the Modis will ever support it.
If the Modis works on any Medium duty vehicles, it's only because the PCM on that vehicle is the same protocol as a smaller vehicle. The entire Medium Duty Truck segment is too small of a market to develop software for. That's why nobody, not just Snap-on, does it. It's not that it's impossible, it's just that there are not a lot of buying customers for it, making the cost of the software too high.
This isn't Snap-on talkiing...just me.
