    Thanks,

There is some coverage for the Hybrids for Toyota. Not sure if it is what you are looking for. Look here. http://diagnostics.snapon.com/displa...tion_Guide.pdf

Also you can phone the tech line and they can tell you for sure.

Information codes have been readable since 9.2.

Did someone say Toyota? I LOVE my Solus Pro but there is really only one choice for Toyota (and Honda) diagnosis.... MTS 3100 Mastertech! Strange how the original "brick-buster" is still valid to this day.

IS it much better then the brick, yes. But the Mt3100 is more then just a scanner, it is a scope as well so it so it should be compared to the Modis/Verus tools instead of the brick or even the SP. Also when the brick was in its day I think Vetronix had the Mt2100 out. Toyota was factory till 2007 or 2008, but Honda only to 2003. Functional tests and Bi-directionals while they coverage was OE yes that tool was better, BUT..... which tool graphs better, how is the Troubleshooter and the CTM on the Mt3100. Each tool is good and each has it's strong and weak points but in MY opinion neither blows the other away.

              Skip,

Can you share with me how you read info codes? And also, how do you pull the FF for info codes?

              Thanks,

The info codes should added to the end of the regular DTC such as P0A1D-141.
I am not sure what you mean by FF info.

                  Hi Skip,

From what I've seen, the INFO code doesn't appear on the DTC screen.

FF means Freeze Frame. There is a seperate FF for the INFO code as well as the main DTC.

                  Thanks for the quick response,

FF= Freeze Frame. That makes too much sense for me to see it.

I'll ask the guy who does the Toyota vehicle communication and get back to you.

The information code is shown in the DTC freeze frame, not with the DTC itself. At this time, only the code number is given, not the description. I am ttrying to get support to put the description into the troubleshooter.

                        Skip,

Putting the description codes into to Troubleshooter will help.

Are there any plans to include the descriptives into the DTCs?

                        Thanks,

Yes, we were talking about it today. Our information shows that the factory tool does not give a description of the info code. The Toyota techs have look it up in the service info. I have no idea about when, but for sure not 10.4. 11.2 at the earliest.

                            Hi Skip,

I see that you've put some effort into this, thank you.

There is also Freeze Frame for the INFO code that is stored. Maybe they can work on it so it displays it in a "friendlier" manner.

Also, with CAN equipped Toyotas, whenever you have a Powertrain DTC stored, the factory scanners will show a set of 5 Freeze Frames. Maybe we can get that added as well.

If you need examples, I will be happy to provide them.

Examples are always welcome. The Toyota engineer is very open to suggestions about what to put into the tool. It's not always his call but if we can show him a good benefit then it is more likely to get done. He is just one guy though and can only get so much done per release.
