vw and 7.2

I have a Solus with 7.2 euro software. I need use this on a 2004 Jetta. I see I need the key s-7 and DL-16 connector. I don't have either. Do I have to buy the DL-16 connector or can I use the obd-2 mt2500-46b connector and a S-7 key?

The DL-16 connector should have came with the European software...

I think that is the one you need and cannot be interchanged. I have European software but have never tried interchanging the cables or connectors.

I did not get the cables with the scanner, I bought it used.

I don't want to buy the cable unless if have to. I know I have to buy the key.

I think you are going to have to get the DL-16 connector and any of the other European connectors that you do not have.

Your only other option may be to use Global OBDII......

euro cables and keys

youre gonna need the cable and a couple of more for the euro to work. to make it work, worthwhile for you, at least get the dl-16,bmw(round),mb(round) connectors. i havent had to use any of the others that came with the software.

The s-7 key will not fit into the obd2 connector the dl-16 uses the green keys. VW is one of the few imports that the solus does well.
