modis & 8.2 update?

has anyone with the modis update 8.2 read perdel"s on 2002 7.3 diesel ?

found my own answer....lol yes perdels work great on the 7.3's
the price of 8.2 is worth every penny now that perdel pids work. the time i will save on injector diagnosis will more than pay for the update. thanks snapon

Just for my own knowledge, what is PERDEL's used for?? You mention injectors, but what does that tell you??

on a 6.0 0r 7.3 diesel perdel"s read percentages of crankshaft deceleration live.
you would use them to find a week injector or individual cylinders to determine if they are contributing equally. without them i would have to install a injector cutout box then cut off a injector one at a time and read the mafdes of each injector when it was off. then compare the readings to find the culprit. now with perdel readings you can just look at them and go right to the problem injector/cylinder. modis cuts the diagnostic time in half

Goes to show that though I may not always be able to answer questions publicly, Snap-on gets the word when the members have something to say. This board is the best thing that has happened to communication with Snap-on Diagnostics, since the telephone.
