    Snap On Solus Edge questions

I didn't see a snapon solus edge forum yet so this was the best spot to post, anyone know what the hardware specs are in the solus edge scanner? ram size and speed and processor type and speed? this info is not posted anywhere online.

Processor speeds/RAM specs are not listed for any of the new scanners that run SMX operating systems. It is faster than any other scanner in the fleet though.

Here are the published specs. Someone may come along that knows more than this, but I've never seen it in writing.

My foil hat tells me if you googled, you might find more hardware specs listed about a black helicopter. Might even have a forward facing camera and built in GPS and a message that pops up on the screen with a skull when stolen that says "We know where to find you?"Baaaahaaaa

            Hardware Specs

I'm wondering if you could go into the tools menu you would be able to access some technical information about the hardware?
I prefer to watch people's video's versus Slick Corporate videos.

Solus Ultra looks good already , so The Edge should be better. Sorry the Vid link was for the Ultra, LOL

              That's awesome! Fair enough.

regular tools menu does not give you any of that info, however maybe there is a way to press some buttons and access a hidden menu for the hardware specs?

I have a new Edge and there are no specs under hardware anywhere in setup function, just basically give model and blocks of data that are authorized. I would say that it is a lot better than the Ultra, .It does boot up a lot quicker, probably 15 to 20 seconds and you are ready. I have had no problems at all with mine. It is so much lighter, quicker, and easier to use, that we hardly ever user our Verus, unless we need to lab scope something.

Solus Edge is essentially a Modis Ultra without the scope module, so they thinned the case. MU is considered by a lot of people to be SnapOns best current scan tool so no reason to believe the SE wouldnt live up to same critique.
