Solus Pro. How To Upgrade Software?

I have a Solus Pro EESC316. On the screen, it says "9.2" so I'm assuming that's the software version. I have a cf chip slot, but no chip. I cannot enter VINs for vehicles 2009 and newer. From what I read, I can buy the chip (but where?), or apparently I can download from Snap on (but how?). Tried searching here. Either got zero results, or hundreds of not relevant results. I can't possibly be the only person with an old Solus that needs new software. Help?

As a rule software for discontinued scanners is not available. It's possible you might find someone with a leftover CF card for one, but pretty unlikely.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

What is a CF CARD? I don't want to sound ignorant but I don't know.
      Sorry!

There is a slot on the top of the unit marked CF (compact Flash) this is for a card that contains the software for your machine. It cannot be swapped from one machine to another.
As the final software release for this model was 2016 like Joe said it is unlikely to still find one.
