    Ultra and Ford cooling fans

I could not find were my Ultra would control the cooling fans on a 2004 Ford Taurus. Am I just not finding the function on the machine?

Do the fans cycle with the Key On Engine Off self test in the Codes menu ?

don't snap on offer any help here? I take it the scanner just don't have the capability of manually running the cooling fans on a ford Taurus. The longer I have this thing, sometime's the less impressed I am with it.

I'll bet that the Ford diagnostic tools don't offer a bi-directional control on this either since the trouble shooter shows a jumper wire used as a functional test for the fans.

High and low speed cooling fan tests for Ford vehicles are typically found under Functional Tests > Output Tests. I'm pretty sure you will find them there on a 04 Taurus.

This test is not supported on the 04 Taurus. It should be in there. I will report it.
As OREVIN says though, they should cycle when you do the KOEO test, so it isn't the end of the world of the test is missing. You can still diagnose the system without it.

I should have looked closer, ford does have a bi-directional test for the fans.
