D: Drive Missing and Can't Reimage Software Because Left Alt Key Won't Work At Start-Up

Hey Folks,

Just upgraded my Verus to 14.4 and I get a message that 14.4.1 is available to download, however, I run into an error saying it can't find the D: drive. Sure enough, D: drive is not there under "My Computer"

So, I call tech support and they suggest to reimage the software. To do that, you need to hold down the left alt key at start up. Well, I have a wired key board and it starts normally when holding the left alt key.

I did upgrade to a SSD and upgraded the ram on my Verus Gen 2 wireless, maybe this has something to do with it?

So, how do I get drive back? And how could I remedy this Alt key issue? I know the alt key works because if I control/alt/delete, the task manager pops up.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

And I did attempt searching with no luck.

I'm guessing it has something to do with you changing the ram and ssd.
I would call tech support and let them know about the changes, with any luck they may have a fix.

The harddrive you removed had two partitions C: and D: with empty un-partitioned space in the "back". This empty space is where the "image" is located to do the restore. I would recommend to re-install your platter drive, do the system update, then clone the ENTIRE platter drive onto your SSD, and have the cloning software resize the partitions as needed. Then you should be OK, as any new updates and or upgrades will find the D: drive and work as designed.
