convert older verus to wireless communication

I'm thinking of converting my verus to wireless communication. Has anyone done this and had any problems with it?

    wireless communication

Yes I did this when the wireless adapter was released shortly after the Verdict. Used it like that for several years. Love the wireless freedom even if the refresh rate on the data is a little slower. With the original Verus you could always go back to cabled if you had to. That's another nice feature.

Agreed, I did the same on a Gen 1 back when I had it.

Being able to go back to the cable is nice fall back though.

Occasionally on my Gen 2 I have issues and have to connect the wireless module with the USB cable. Not a deal breaker but intermittent issues can be difficult to diagnose. I believe it may be the module as I have one of the early Gen 2 wireless modules. The later ones have a different graphic on the wireless module.

What all come with the wireless upgrade kit. I have a chance to buy a wireless module for $150.00 but that is all I get and not sure if that will be all that is required to work with my Verus gen 1.

All you need to make it work is the USB module, the correct scanner cable and a standard micro usb cable in order to match the firmware.

It comes with the module and the scanner cable and I have a standard micro USB cable.

So what about the driver and any setup software? Will they be installed automatically like many USB devices.

No big deal on the setup.

You have to have 11.2 software or higher.

Thanks got it all to work. It updated the firmware on the module and after that all worked great.

One disappointment was the tire size program for the 2007 Jeep only had some factory sizes and no custom size option. We only have 33in. tires on it and none of the factory sizes shown was equivalent to 33in.
