VERUS Edge windows update

I just got a VERUS Edge and was wondering if Windows update should work on it? When I go to Windows update it just keeps checking and never stops. Is Windows update disabled on the Edge?

If it has been over six months since Windows was updated, it will take awhile. If it seems to be stuck in this "Checking for updates" there are some KB hotfixes to resolve this issue, but I don't know them by memory (Google Windows 7 stuck on updates).

I went through this on a desktop or laptop, don't remember which. Took me forever to get it working. As sbreland stated, there are several hotfix's on it, lots of articles at microsoft, and tons of youtube videos about it. I re-installed several times, reapplied hot fix's, and finally held my tongue just right and got it to take updates. It took an overnight soak, checking for updates, even after I hit the right combination of microsoft patches. Good luck

The verus pro is loaded with XP embedded, and has updates disabled. Not sure if the Edge is done this way or not

I called tech support and they remotely logged into the VERUS and did whatever they did to get it working. I wasn't able to watch them.

My Edge stopped updating a few weeks ago. It took me a while to figure out why it would not update. It just kept checking for updates. I ended up downloading a service pack 1 hotfix and it fixed the issue.
