Has anyone else had shutdown problems with verus? I have to force shutdown at least three or four times a week.

I haven't had many lock ups; but it seems when i do it is when coming out of hibernation or on a very low battery and windows has started turning off things in the bacground. still havent solved the missing wireless on bootup or losing auth. every couple of days. Im running norton anti-virus - may be part of the problem. overall though Im very happy with it. another tech just picked up a navigator and it seems to have many more problems and no help. -
One more thing Ive noticed about shutdown - if the unit sits flat on the seat of a car or lap and blocks the airflow for a long time it gets hot and the fan runs constantly draining the battery, if it is shut down before cooling the unit will stay on with the fan running for a while and the "windows logging off" message displayed (over 5 mins). A few times when I forced a shutdown it would not boot until cool. Now I usually hang it over the steering wheel from the stand.Comment

I don't know about the cooling shut down thing, because it never dawned on me but I have noticed the fan does run a lot, when in a car I did notice it does get hot when you lay it down on the car seat like you said, so I try to use the stand. But I did notice the fan is now a little noisy now, probably from constantly running? I hope it don't **** out I am sure it will overheat, I am just wonderind how it will fair in the summer, I live in phoenix and it gets hot here.
Sorry Back to the orignal post Yes it does hang on shut down sometimes usually when I am in a hurry to leave, but then I push the puwer button and it shuts off, the other day It happend to me and I just thought lets see how long this takes cause I was putting cars in the shop and washing up, it was a good 5 to 10 min. then it went off, I guess that fix will be in the next sr update?JOENASHComment
