Verus wireless with M2 meter

I am considering buying the verdict M2 meter to use with my Verus wireless. Has anyone done this and is it easy to set up and switch between the paired M2 meter and the built in 4 channel scope? I Would want to use it for under bonnet testing instead of using long leads for test drives. Many thanks John

Yes, it can be done, You will go to "System Settings" go to "add a device" and you will turn on the M-2 and make it discoverable, with the control knob on the M-2. You can then pair the M-2 and your Verus. The pairing screen on the M-2 will go from Red to Blue when connected.

I'll give you the specifics later, when I have an M-2 in my hands. This will all depend on your software build, what version do you have? .


You will have to re-pair the Verus scope when ready to use it again. Pairing the internal scope on the Verus is even easier than pairing the M-2.

The M-2 is a very neat tool. Great investment. It works well, in stand alone functions, also. Just remember it is a 2 channel scope, but a very capable scope indeed. Most of the scoping I do is 2 channel, but do a lot of 3-4 channel and I have a set of 10 foot "Test Drive Test Leads" from AES Wave.

I think I have a generation 1 Verus with the wireless upgrade I'm on software 13.4 so bang upto date. I will use it as a stand alone unit most of the time but would like the option to use it wirelessly when required. Very pleased this can be done and thanks a lot for the info. John

I too have a set of the 10ft test leads from AES. A great addition for any tech, especially when you have the scope inside the car, and you're going down the road capturing a screenshot. Well worth the $

I had a verdict before i got a verus pro and got used to the m2 meter and had to have it when i traded my verdict and got my verus pro. Absolutely love the m2 meter

Thanks for all the positive replies on this. I managed to win one on eBay brand new but with no charger or leads for £250 GB pounds which seems great value to me. Should be here tomorrow so just need a charger as I have many spare leads. This should hopefully be a great addition to my diagnostic armoury. Many thanks for all the help John

Verus with M2

I have recently purchased a verus wireless unit and then added an M2 meter. I find it to be a versatile combination. The shop has a verus pro but the scope module must be hard wired to it negating the wireless mobility of the verus for component testing i.e. wheel speed sensors. The verus wireless is easily switchable between the meter and the built in 4 chan. scope. The scanner software configures i'ts tests and info for either one automatically based on the chosen unit. So yes, it is possible and the meter by itself is much improved over my old fluke 88, scope function, display etc.
