When did snapon quit caring about us

The wheels on the bus are spinning and I'm throwing so under it.
I had my origanal modis for a total of six years, the first six months was fine then I got an error message that said system overtemp unit shutting down.that meant it could not be turned back on period,$400.00 dollars and four and a half years later and with the help of laywers they finally swapped it out.I had paid it off and only used it for the first six months and so took it to that extreme,WHY?
Next I traded for a verus it kept locking up but so did swap it out,now it is just slow as dirt like everyone elses, for ten grand so should do better by us"were the reason that they are a fortune500 company and not bankrupt.
Finally I got my epiq in,powerhouse bolts were loose so I tightened them and then the lid would not shut, dealer tells me "just loosen them back up".
Three different paint flaws, and a drawer that makes a very loud popping noise when you open it.I am completely fed up with this **** where is the quality control, why do they not care about us when I spend 10 grand on a scanner,15 grand on a toolbox not to mention the thousands on other tools it should be perfect when I recieve it I should not have to log book hours complaining about it or fighting with it to get it to work.
Basically snapon what I am saying is if u as a company would like to stay in business and out of the negative you need to stop treating us like this.
"we techs get paid on flat rate extremely slow scanners hender us from making money but it dosent seem to stop you from taking ours every week".

As it is written, in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be upon us . Your as good as the last dollar you spend , its not just you its the whole world system of things, its not getting better it getting worse

All anybody is interested in is money, but again as it is written, man cannot live on bread alone. When the hand that feeds you does not feed you, thats it game over

I wonder did you install anything on your verus? I agree it is a bit slow and mine needs more ram, however it works very well. I have had it for about 6 months and have had 3 or 4 lockups. I would be more willing to bet those lockups were do to a Microsoft issue since Microsoft has made a living out of blue screens and lockups since Window 95. My verus helped me fix a problem with a 97 K1500 yestereday that a dealer and 4 other shops could not. It may not be perfect but much much better than anything else out there.

Well You can open up your verus and install a 1 gig memory stick, that will speed it up and you will be surprised at how good it will work.
As for the crashing and other bugs, one problem is it is windows based, but that is not really snap on's fault, all future diagnostics is going to be pc slash laptop windows based and they have to go with the flow, gm does not use / support their tech 2 anymore. GM ford honda kia, all the manufactures Now use laptops or software you can buy and install on a laptop and diagnose their cars with.
I know it was expensive but it really does a lot, and works pretty well, you just got yours, I have had mine for a while and sent it in for repair once, it was under warranty, Some updates from snap on and it has gotten better,I know you paid a lot and am frustrated, so was I, but I upgraded the memory and it runs better, I wish since it is just like a pc snap on would have given us options just like when you buy a computer, a bigger hard drive, more memory, a faster processor, well it is what it is.

As far as bugs and crashes, I m pretty sure snap on is working on fixing these problems for the simple fact that they want to be number one in the diagnostics field and they know that is the future not selling overpriced wrenches, even if they are better than sears.

              Hi Papawrench,
What Verus version do you have and under what conditions is it slow.
Also who are you dealing with in regards to your paint flaws. If your not making any progress with them then I will try to forward your concerns to someone that can help.

              Regards
              Jay

It's just a matter of low ram and a slow CPU I can fix the ram myself I just figured snap on would do it with all the people making complaints. As for the paint flaws I'm giving my dealer one more week and then I'll make phone calls I know a equipment rep and the reginal vp of sales one of them can get it handled for me but I do apppreciate your offer to help.
